Can't quite put your finger on what's wrong?
Sometimes a combination of minor ailments can build up, making you feel unwell
There is a solution....
The essence of holistic therapies is to trigger a return to homeostasis (a state of balance) and help improve the overall well being of the patient. By creating the right environment for the body to heal itself, these therapies have the potential to alleviate the symptoms of any ailment. That is why so many different conditions may be helped by these treatments.

Fertility & Pregnancy Care
Fertility
We have treated many patients with fertility issues using both acupuncture and reflexology. These therapies are also widely used to support IVF treatment. Specific acupuncture protocols are used during each stage of the IVF procedure. We usually incorporate a combination of acupuncture and reflexology for fertility patients. Acupuncture is now recommended by many fertility clinics and reflexology is such a relaxing therapy to receive when going through such an emotional and often stressful journey.
Our recommendation is to start having regular treatments as soon as you decide to start trying to conceive. Holistic therapies are not about an instant fix but more to encourage the system to be at its best and improve overall well being generally.
Pregnancy Care
Once pregnancy is achieved your holistic therapy care does not need to end. There is a myth that holistic therapies are to be avoided during pregnacy, particularly in the early stages. This is most certainly not the case. There are certain acupuncture points that are best avoided as they are very stimulating. With reflexology the uterine area is avoided. The only reason to discontinue with treatments is if you do not want to proceed or if we feel that treatment is not appropriate. Otherwise, treatments may help with the following at different stages of pregnancy:-
First Trimester: tiredness and nausea and aid relaxation.
Second Trimester: aid thyroid gland function; sciatic and pelvic areas as the baby grows and sits heavier on the pelvic floor; lymph drainage work to prevent ankle oedema; pancreatic areas for prevention of gestational diabetes.
Third Trimester: balance metabolism and general all round stimulation. At 40 weeks deep general treatment to stimulate the meridian lines and promote a sense of well being and help energy.
